As an avid reader (43 books for far in 2025 with some 900+ pages and both fiction and nonfiction!) I must say I really enjoyed this first chapter and want more! You’ve done exactly what good authors want to do, in that I’m really wanting to know what happens to Sam. I’m impressed.
